Problems faced by the students in school often can not be avoided, even with good teaching though. Therefore, counseling is an effort to help resolve the conflict, obstacles, and difficulties in meeting the needs of the counselee, as well as efforts to improve mental health. This study aims to determine the effect of communication skills counselor
and counselee self-disclosure to the success of the counseling process. The population in this study were all students of SMK Negeri 1 Geger Madiun academic year 2013/2014 with a sample of 83 students who received individual counseling services. The sampling technique used is the author of saturation sampling. Data obtained using the questionnaire method is scale-shaped scale communication skills counselor, counselee self-disclosure scale, and the scale of the counseling process.
